Support for the Disabled
At ICRIT Healthcare we understand that being disabled does not mean that you have restricted access to services, activities or the community and we will support individuals with appropriately trained staff who all have completed relevant in-house and national training for specific conditions.
Disabilities can be both physical and mental but equally they can be complex and combination of both. Also some disabilities are more common in the elderly but although most commonly related to age the onset of Dementia or Alzheimer's may start occuring at an early age. The ability stimulate both mind and body is important with the outcomes agreed as part of the care plan. To find out more about Dementia & Alzheimer’s Care.
A wheelcair user may require support getting from bed to chair, support in toileting and clothing but maybe they can in their own home support themselves and it is when they want to access society they need support wher adaptations have not been made to cover their condition. More complex conditions may require hoists movement from night bed to day bed and all daily routines need to be facilited by a Care Assistant. With some of the more complex needs our Live-In Care service may be a consideration.
We also understand at ICRIT HEalthcare that the support we provide should be aware that the carer is capable of relating to the individual and enjoys the same interests we are trying to support, e.g. a disabled young person going to the cinema or concerts it makes sense we find someone with similar interests where ever possible. Yet we also appreciate many elderly people can get a level of stimulation with interacting with compassionate young people who show an interest in the stories and reminiscence. In summary we can provide a varied care plan with both familiarity, suitability and reliability for the client.
